My destination
In general, we recommend that you update your basic vaccinations for all destinations. These vaccines include:
- Tetanus
- Diphtheria
- Polio
- Measles
Most tropical destinations, "all-inclusives," cruises
Mexico, Caribbean, Central America, South America.
We strongly recommend hepatitis A and B vaccines.
Asia
China, Thailand, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, etc.
Other vaccines may be required
- Japanese encephalitis
- Rabies
- Typhoid
- etc.
Some destinations in South America and Africa
E.g. Iguazu Falls, safari in Kenya or Tanzania.
The yellow fever vaccine may be required or recommended
Recommendations
- A travellers' diarrhea vaccine (Dukoral) may be recommended if you have a chronic illness (diabetes, heart disease, intestinal disease, etc.) or if you frequently experience diarrhea ("Turista") when you travel.
- The travellers' diarrhea vaccine (Dukoral) is available to everyone who wants additional
protection during their trip. - Keep in mind that malaria has been reported in the Dominican Republic, Haiti and some countries in Central and South America. A preventive drug may be prescribed.
